Complete Alliance Duel (VS) Guide

Prepare every Alliance Duel day, reach reward chests efficiently, follow GzOn saving-week rules and survive Saturday without wasting troops or resources.

GzOn order

Use this framework unless an R4 or R5 publishes a different instruction. Live alliance orders and the current in-game scoring panel always take priority.

What Alliance Duel rewards

Alliance Duel—usually called VS—is a six-day competition running Monday through Saturday. Each day scores a different set of actions. Individual chests provide rewards and Valor Badges, daily alliance victories contribute to the weekly result, and league performance affects longer-term rewards.

The secret is not spending more. It is using actions the account already needs on the day they score, then stopping when the next spend no longer improves an individual chest, daily result or alliance objective.

GzOn saving-week rules

GzOn alliance rules including saving-week limits and Alliance Duel expectations
The GzOn alliance ruleboard is the standing reference. Any current R4 or R5 message overrides an older poster or guide.
Day Saving-week instruction Purpose
Monday–Thursday Maximum 10 million VS points per day. Collect reward chests while preserving premium stock for the next push week.
Friday Free to do what the account needs. Train troops, finish upgrades and use the strongest non-combat scoring day.
Saturday Free under alliance combat instructions. Fight, heal, shield or conserve according to the actual matchup.

A cap is not a target to exceed by accident. Check the score before completing a large research, hero star, weapon milestone or speed-up batch. Saving week only works when members stop deliberately.

The weekly preparation cycle

Prepare Hold for Safe method
Completed radar missions Monday and other radar-scoring days shown live Complete but do not collect; watch the radar refresh/capacity counter.
Long gathering marches Monday reset Send Sunday evening so the march returns after VS scoring begins.
Completed buildings Tuesday or Friday Leave the gift-box completion unclaimed only if it does not block the builder.
Completed research Wednesday or Friday Prepare a long timer without leaving the Tech Centre idle for days.
Recruitment, shards and medals Thursday Assign them to named main-squad breakpoints first.
Lower-tier troops and training speed-ups Friday Create a promotion ladder without weakening Saturday readiness.
Shields, teleports and healing Saturday Keep a protected operational reserve every week.

Reset safety: wait for scoring to begin

Do not spend immediately when the server clock changes. Community documentation records a short delay—commonly five minutes—before the new VS day awards points. Open Alliance Duel, confirm the new theme and verify that its scoring list is active before collecting a prepared upgrade.

Monday: Radar Training

Monday rewards preparation done on Sunday. Use the exact list shown in the event; common actions include radar tasks, stamina, gathering, Hero EXP, Drone Combat Data, Drone Parts and Drone Skill Chip chests.

Sunday setup

  1. Complete available radar tasks but leave the rewards uncollected.
  2. Check the small radar refresh counter and never hold so many that new tasks are lost.
  3. Send all suitable marches to gather, timed to finish after Monday scoring starts.
  4. Leave sufficient stamina and Drone resources for the desired chest target.

Monday execution

  • Confirm the VS day is active, then collect the stacked radar tasks.
  • Let Sunday gathering marches finish; coin tiles usually provide particularly useful account value.
  • Spend stamina on useful rallies, zombies and radar—not meaningless attacks.
  • Use Drone Combat Data and Parts towards a complete drone level.
  • Open Skill Chip chests only when the live Monday task awards them.
Do not confuse the chests

Drone Skill Chip chests and Drone Component chests are different. Current schedules commonly score Skill Chip chests on Monday and Component chests on Wednesday.

Tuesday: Base Expansion

Tuesday normally rewards construction power and construction speed-ups, with trucks, secret tasks or server-age additions also appearing. The best score comes from upgrades the HQ route already needs.

  1. Activate construction bonuses before starting long prerequisite buildings.
  2. Let alliance helps arrive before applying speed-ups.
  3. Complete the prepared building during the matching Arms Race phase where practical.
  4. Start the next useful prerequisite immediately so the builder does not sit idle.
  5. Dispatch only trucks and secret tasks that satisfy the live quality requirement.

Never upgrade a low-value building solely for points while the HQ, Tech Centre or main troop infrastructure remains blocked.

Wednesday: Age of Science

Wednesday normally scores research power, research speed-ups, Valor Badge spending, radar activity and Drone Component chests.

  1. Claim the prepared long research after confirming scoring.
  2. Spend Valor Badges on the named Alliance Duel, Special Forces or other planned tree.
  3. Use research speed-ups through useful prerequisites, requesting help each time.
  4. Open saved Drone Component chests when their task appears.
  5. Stack Tuesday radar tasks for Wednesday where the live rules reward them.

Researching randomly for VS creates permanent waste. Every node should still serve the growth, T10, mastery or reward plan.

Thursday: Train Heroes

Thursday is the hero-development day. Common scoring actions include recruitment tickets, hero shards, Hero EXP and Skill Medals.

Resource Correct use Waste trap
Recruitment tickets Open saved batches after verifying the task and milestone. Recruiting daily because a red dot appears.
Universal UR shards Complete the next star on a permanent main hero. Adding partial progress to every unlocked UR hero.
Skill Medals Finish tactics, survival or team-buff breakpoints. Levelling every skill and every squad equally.
Hero EXP Maintain the active formation and useful secondary heroes. Paying huge EXP costs for unused heroes solely for points.

On saving week, check the score before confirming a large five-star upgrade. Once the 10-million limit is reached, stop unless leadership authorises more.

Friday: Total Mobilisation

Friday is usually the strongest non-combat scoring day. It combines troop training with construction, research, radar and other development actions shown in the current panel. Saving-week restrictions are lifted, but resources should still create real progress.

The troop-promotion waterfall

Training a low tier and promoting it through several Barracks levels can generate scoring actions at each promotion stage. The exact best ladder depends on the Barracks levels, training capacity, speed-ups and highest unlocked troop tier.

  1. During the week, use lower Barracks to prepare troops below the maximum tier.
  2. On Friday, promote the lowest prepared group in the next appropriate Barracks.
  3. Continue through intermediate tiers where capacity and scoring make it worthwhile.
  4. Finish at the highest tier the account can field.
  5. Keep enough full-strength troops for Saturday; do not trap the army in unfinished promotion queues.

Promotion strategy is about converting saved training time efficiently—not filling the Drill Ground with permanently weak troops.

Saturday: Enemy Buster

Saturday is a war operation, not a solo points farm. Rival-server troop kills usually provide the highest combat value, but broader cross-server rules may allow attacks involving alliances beyond the direct VS opponent. A shield is the default for anyone unable to monitor the base.

Friday-night safety check

  • Read the R4/R5 battle order, target policy and teleport location.
  • Recall gatherers and remove vulnerable marches from the world map.
  • Heal hospitals and create spare capacity.
  • Stock an appropriate shield, advanced teleports and healing speed-ups.
  • Review wall defence; remove defenders if leadership instructs members not to defend.
  • Check that troop promotions and training finish before the battle window.

If you are not fighting

Shield before the danger window and confirm its expiry time. A shield that expires while the player is asleep is not protection. Do not gather on exposed tiles unless leadership confirms the area is safe.

If you are fighting

  • Teleport with the group and stay inside the operation area.
  • Attack targets allowed by server and alliance rules.
  • Use scouts, rallies and coordinated reinforcement rather than blind solo hits.
  • Watch Hospital capacity and stop before wounded troops become permanent deaths.
  • Recall marches before teleporting or reshielding.
  • Do not chase a retreating target away from the alliance objective for personal points.

Saturday scoring without reckless losses

Situation Best response Avoid
Opponent is much stronger. Shield, reinforce under orders and seek controlled rally opportunities. Feeding repeated solo attacks for no strategic gain.
Hospital is nearly full. Stop, heal and use capacity deliberately. Allowing overflow to create permanent troop death.
Target has unknown strength. Scout or use known battle reports first. Assuming HQ level equals squad strength.
Base is burning away from the group. Return or teleport under the announced plan. Remaining isolated to protect personal pride.
Alliance has secured the daily result. Follow leadership’s stop/save instruction. Emptying healing and teleports for unnecessary points.

Individual chest strategy

Alliance Duel research expands the personal reward track from the opening chests towards the full set—commonly nine chests with 7.2 million points under established rules. Incentive research also raises the points earned from particular actions.

  1. Reach the highest chest that is efficient with routine weekly activity.
  2. Invest Valor Badges into Premium Rewards and useful scoring research.
  3. Do not spend 5,000 diamonds of value to unlock a chest worth a fraction of that amount.
  4. On saving week, obey the 10-million cap even when more points are available.

Valor Badge roadmap

  1. Premium Rewards: unlock additional individual chests so weekly participation returns more resources.
  2. High-frequency scoring research: improve actions performed every week.
  3. Special Forces/T10 route: protect the Valor required by the account’s main troop objective.
  4. Other Valor trees: fund only when they serve a defined truck, siege, defence or mastery plan.

Use Valor on Wednesday when practical, but do not buy a weak research node merely to score Valor spending.

Overlap with Arms Race

Many VS actions also score in Arms Race. Wait for the matching phase when it falls safely inside the VS day:

  • Drone Boost with Monday drone development.
  • City Building with Tuesday construction.
  • Tech Research with Wednesday research.
  • Hero Advancement with Thursday hero spending.
  • Unit Progression with Friday training.

This is a bonus layer, not a reason to miss VS reset, lose a builder queue or exceed GzOn’s saving cap.

Plan by player type

Player Weekly objective Discipline
Developing/F2P Reach repeatable personal chests using prepared routine actions. Never destroy a long-term milestone for one daily ranking.
Low spender Use pass and store income on the matching days. Finish one main squad and preserve premium stock for push weeks.
Competitive scorer Hold large upgrades, staged troops and research for decisive days. Coordinate with R4 before releasing stock; daily victory matters more than ego.
R4/R5 Set minimums, saving caps, target days and Saturday orders. Communicate before reset and publish a stop instruction when the result is secure.

Common VS mistakes

  • Spending during the reset delay before points are active.
  • Collecting stacked radar tasks on Sunday.
  • Confusing Skill Chip and Drone Component chests.
  • Opening hero shards, medals or recruitment tickets before Thursday.
  • Using training speed-ups before Friday without an urgent troop need.
  • Exceeding 10 million on a GzOn saving-week day.
  • Starting useless construction or research only for points.
  • Entering Saturday unshielded with full hospitals.
  • Chasing personal kills outside the alliance operation.

Daily commander checklist

  • Confirm the new VS day and scoring list are active.
  • Read the GzOn target, saving status and R4/R5 message.
  • Check the next personal chest and current daily result.
  • Use only items matching today’s task and a real account milestone.
  • Overlap with Arms Race where it does not block progress.
  • Stop at the saving cap or when further spending no longer changes the result.
  • Prepare tomorrow before leaving the game.

Frequently asked questions

How many radar tasks can I stack?

The safe number depends on the radar-capacity and refresh counter shown on your account. Complete tasks without collecting, but never hold enough to block the next refresh. Tap the radar information icon and plan from its live timer.

Why did my upgrade score no points after reset?

The new VS theme may not have activated yet. Wait through the short reset delay, open the event and confirm the task list before collecting prepared progress.

Should I reach every chest every day?

Build towards it through Alliance Duel research and weekly preparation. Do not sacrifice a valuable long-term resource for a chest whose reward is smaller than the spend, and always obey GzOn saving-week limits.

Should I remove heroes from the wall on Saturday?

Follow current leadership orders. Removing wall defence can prevent an unwanted defence and troop loss, while an organised garrison plan may require defenders. There is no universal Saturday setting.
