Season 3 Week 3: Choose Your Side
The complete Week 3 plan for factions, Scarlett’s UR promotion, Worm Expert, level 5–6 cities, Trade Posts and Schuyler’s weapon.
Choose the faction with the warzone, not as an individual. Keep production and resistance ahead of the level 5–6 city route, promote Scarlett only after recording every refund and rebuild requirement, hunt Sandworms efficiently, and decide on Schuyler’s weapon from the finished Aircraft squad backwards.
What changes in Week 3
Week 3 is the bridge between seasonal development and the faction war beginning in Week 4. Individual hero decisions now sit beside warzone diplomacy, higher city requirements and cross-warzone pressure. Use historical timings to prepare, but use the live Season Calendar to act.
| Typical opening | Feature | What changes | First action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Faction Awards | Eight grouped warzones are divided between the Scarlet Legion and Golden Tribe for the coming Spice War. | Read the president’s instruction and stop treating faction selection as a personal vote. |
| Day 1 | Scarlett UR promotion | A five-star SSR Scarlett can enter the seasonal promotion process and rebuild as UR. | Screenshot stars, skills, Wall of Honor, shards and the promotion preview before confirming. |
| Day 1 | Worm Expert | Discovered Sandworm level and damage become daily ranking measures. | Confirm resistance, traps, stamina and the alliance damage window before attacking. |
| Day 1 | Oasis Project continues | Connected greenification remains a personal and warzone race. | Continue the marked front; do not create isolated patterns. |
| Day 3 | Level 5 city | Ancient Tomb targets raise the resistance and coordination test. | Freeze optional Sacred Water spending until the declared rally is ready. |
| Day 4 | Schuyler Exclusive Weapon | A limited weapon pass commonly opens for seven days. | Check five-star eligibility and whether Schuyler is a permanent Aircraft investment. |
| Day 6 | Level 6 city | Square of Judgment targets push the final pre-Spice-War city tier of the week. | Confirm the live requirement, adjacency, garrison and healing plan. |

Week 3 day-by-day operating plan
Record, align and prepare
Open Faction Awards, Scarlett’s promotion, Worm Expert and the continuing Oasis Project. Record every timer. Collect Fountain production, advance resistance for level 5, and wait for warzone instructions before any faction action.
Finish the day with: faction leadership identified, Scarlett documented and the first Worm Expert plan published.
Confirm the faction route
Historical faction selection uses staged announcements rather than an instant free choice. Leadership tracks the group, speaks with neighbouring warzones and publishes one message explaining the likely allies, opponents and Week 4 expectations.
Finish the day with: members knowing which faction instruction to follow and where updates will appear.
Take the Ancient Tomb
Level 5 cities commonly open after the live delay. Verify connected territory, Curse Resistance, declaration availability and rally attendance. Continue Vault help, Oasis actions and Return of the Dead preparation around the capture.
Finish the day with: a clean level 5 capture and enough healing capacity for the rest of the week.
Make the Schuyler decision
Schuyler’s weapon pass commonly appears. Read the complete live weapon preview, activation requirement and milestone effects. Aircraft players compare it with DVA, Lucius, Morrison, Carlie and existing weapon priorities before spending.
Finish the day with: a deliberate buy, unlock, save or skip decision recorded.
Test the war roster
Run the next Return of the Dead defence, continue Worm Expert efficiently and identify the members available for Week 4’s first Spice War windows. Review Trade Post ownership and likely travel routes.
Finish the day with: a provisional attack group, defence group and communications channel.
Capture the Square of Judgment
Level 6 cities commonly open after the live delay. Use the actual rally leader’s resistance—not the alliance average—and stop overlapping calls. Heal immediately after the operation.
Finish the day with: the city secured, no unnecessary second declaration and a stable route into Week 4.
Convert development into a war plan
Claim weekly rankings, Vault rewards, city rewards and Worm Expert results. Audit teleport stock, hospital capacity, Protectors, rally leaders and faction opponents. Publish the first Spice War readiness message before reset.
Finish the day with: no hidden rewards and every active member knowing how Week 4 changes the season.
Faction Awards: understand the decision
Community-recorded Season 3 rules group eight warzones into two four-warzone factions: the Scarlet Legion and Golden Tribe. The strongest warzones are separated as faction leaders, while the remaining presidents select or are allocated according to the live capacity rules. The purpose is to create the sides that contest Spice from Week 4.
| Stage | What leadership does | What members do |
|---|---|---|
| Leader selection | Identify the two faction leaders, existing relationships and the overall strength map. | Do not spread rumours from screenshots belonging to another season group. |
| Faction assignment | The president follows the diplomatic plan and capacity rules shown by the live event. | Wait for the official server instruction; individual preference cannot override the president’s action. |
| Faction notice | Publish allies, opponents, communication contacts and likely Spice War roles. | Save the message and check whether cross-warzone travel or scouting is now permitted. |
| War preparation | Map defendable Alliance Centers, likely targets, rally leads and attendance windows. | Heal, retain relocations and stop consuming special units without a purpose. |
Faction rule: this is a warzone-level decision. A faction with excellent communication can outperform a nominally stronger group that cannot agree on targets or attendance.
Scarlett UR promotion: prepare before pressing the button
The documented entry requirement is a five-star SSR Scarlett plus the promotion item shown by the live event. Wall of Honor level 160 is a popular preparation target because a large shard refund can help rebuild her after promotion, but it is an optimisation—not the basic eligibility requirement.

Record this before promotion
- Scarlett’s current SSR star level and every partial tier.
- All four skill levels and the total medals invested.
- Wall of Honor level and unspent Scarlett or Universal Epic shards.
- Hero level, equipped gear and current formation position.
- The promotion preview’s stated refunds, resulting UR stars and required item.
What the documented promotion normally changes
| Area | Expected effect | What to verify live |
|---|---|---|
| Rarity | Scarlett changes from SSR to UR. | The event shows the correct hero and promotion item before confirmation. |
| Stars | Promoted heroes are commonly rebuilt from a lower UR star point rather than remaining at five-star SSR. | The exact resulting stars and cost of every rebuild tier. |
| Wall of Honor | Invested Scarlett shards are commonly refunded when the SSR Wall entry resets. | Refund quantity and whether all stored progress is included. |
| Skills | Skill levels can reset or change and invested medals are commonly returned. | The exact medal refund and the new UR maximums before re-spending. |
| Gear | Gear is not the strategic reason to promote and should be handled deliberately. | Remove it first if the live screen or current rules warn that equipped items may be locked. |
Should Scarlett enter the main squad?
- Promote and use: she fills a defined Tank frontline or utility role, has a partner and gear plan, and the rebuilt version improves actual reports.
- Promote and hold: the refund and long-term option are valuable, but she is not yet ready to replace a developed core hero.
- Delay: the account cannot rebuild her to a functional point, the event preview is unclear, or promotion would damage the only reliable squad during a critical operation.
Do not automatically remove Williams, Murphy or another defender because Scarlett’s border turns gold. Compare survival time, skill contribution, formation bonus and the partner occupying the other frontline position.
Worm Expert: rank without wasting stamina
Community-recorded rules measure two different achievements: the highest Sandworm level discovered through Trap Landmines and the commander’s total Sandworm damage. Treat discovery and damage as separate objectives.
| Objective | Best approach | Common waste |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery ranking | Use traps when resistance and alliance strength can realistically handle the next result. | Revealing a target nobody can defeat or triggering at a poor attendance time. |
| Damage ranking | Attack during the announced window with full troop capacity, correct presets and proven boss heroes. | Spending stamina on weak marches, wrong formations or attempts outside the coordinated damage period. |
| First-kill value | Prioritise eligible new levels and claim associated seasonal rewards. | Repeating low-value levels while a realistic first reward remains available. |
| Alliance value | Share targets clearly and let suitable members fill the correct rallies. | Several players opening competing targets that split attendance. |
- Check Curse Resistance and target details before comparing visible power.
- Use the strongest boss formation that survives long enough to cycle its important skills.
- Record damage, survival and the main dealer’s contribution from the report.
- Change one variable—formation, position, gear preset or rally lead—before testing again.
- Stop when the next attempt costs more stamina than its realistic ranking or first-kill value.
Level 5–6 cities and Trade Post pressure
Higher cities turn every Week 1 shortcut into a visible weakness. A failed capture is usually not solved by asking more people to attack randomly.
- Resistance: compare the live requirement with the actual rally leader.
- Route: confirm the city is connected and legally declarable before gathering members.
- One caller: publish rally leader, reinforcement order and reset plan.
- Trade Posts: assume other warzones are now scouting ownership, travel times and weak defence windows.
- After capture: heal, claim rewards and prepare the garrison rather than immediately chasing another target.
Schuyler’s Exclusive Weapon: unlock, upgrade or skip?
The documented Week 3 release commonly begins on Day 4 with a seven-day pass. Activation requires five-star Schuyler and 50 Schuyler-specific Exclusive Weapon shards. Universal weapon shards can upgrade an activated weapon but do not normally replace the named activation shards.
| Account | Recommended decision | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Aircraft main using Schuyler | Strong candidate to unlock; compare the first useful milestone with DVA and other core weapons. | The weapon supports a hero already occupying a permanent formation slot. |
| Aircraft transition in progress | Secure named activation shards only if the full five-hero and gear plan is credible. | An unlock can be useful later, but the pass should not create an unfinished squad project. |
| Tank or Missile main | Usually preserve universal weapon resources unless Aircraft is the funded second squad. | Permanent resources normally create more value inside the established main formation. |
| Schuyler below five stars | Do not assume buying the pass creates an immediately usable weapon. | Named shards can wait in inventory, but activation remains locked until the star requirement is met. |
Read the live milestone descriptions rather than relying on the headline attribute total. Weapon levels can improve personal statistics, raise skill ceilings or add control effects at specific breakpoints; the best stopping point depends on the rest of the Aircraft weapon plan.
R4/R5 Week 3 command sheet
- Publish one source of truth for faction announcements and correct rumours quickly.
- Identify diplomatic contacts in allied warzones before Spice War begins.
- Post level 5 and level 6 resistance requirements before members spend Sacred Water.
- Schedule Worm Expert discovery and damage windows instead of allowing constant competing targets.
- Explain Scarlett promotion without presenting Wall of Honor level 160 as a mandatory entry rule.
- Continue Oasis routing, Vault assistance and Return of the Dead rosters.
- Audit Trade Post ownership and likely cross-warzone access routes.
- Build Week 4 attack, defence, rally, reinforcement and communications groups.
- Publish the first Spice War briefing before Sunday reset.
End-of-week checklist
Week 3 mistakes that weaken Week 4
- Treating faction selection as an individual popularity contest.
- Promoting Scarlett without recording refunds, resulting stars and rebuild costs.
- Calling Wall of Honor level 160 a mandatory promotion requirement.
- Replacing a functioning defender before the rebuilt Scarlett is ready.
- Opening Sandworms at random times and splitting alliance attendance.
- Buying Schuyler’s pass without a funded Aircraft plan.
- Letting new hero systems interrupt Fountain production or required resistance.
- Capturing cities without a garrison or post-capture healing plan.
- Entering Week 4 without assigned attack and defence groups.
